Monday Howard & Kitty took us around Ban Chang area to see some of the sights. We stopped at Silver Lake to see the lazer cut outline of the Buddha, guilded with gold on the face of the mountain. Quite a spectacular feat for the artist. Very nice walking paths with flowers and greenery in the area leading you to the best view point for taking pictures. An awesome sight.
Next stop was Nong Nooch Tropical Garden Pattaya, Thailand. This is very hard to describe as it has won the award for the best kept garden in the world for the last 2 years. It would be interesting to know how many flower pots make up the various displays along with the planted shrubs and trees. We have never seen anything close to this size of garden as we spent 4 hours wondering through the various themed gardens and could have spent more time here. They are constantly expanding and changing these gardens. Wow...another must see.
We hurried back to Silvet Lake Vineyard as Howard wanted us to see the sunset over the lake. Stayed for supper and enjoyed a bottle of red Silver Lake Wine that is produced there. Very nice wine. What a great day.
