Alona Beach

We heard this was the happening place on the island and that would be true.  Tourists, people, motor bikes, tricycles, cars and dogs, competing for the narrow roads, where the shops, restaurants, tour places, dive shops, bars, ice cream shops and fruit stands were found.  The beach was full of people and the water was full of boats.  A really bustling place.

The narrow street leading down to the beach.

The beach just ahead.

Alona Beach

The shops, restaurants and bars line the beach.

The beach stretches for kms.

Fred relaxing in the shade.

Enjoying a San Miguel in the hot afternoon...realizing just how fortunate we are.

A blind man came to our table while we were having supper and sang the theme song from Ghost...very well done.

The beach all light up in the evening.
