Train to Chiangmai

Sunday, we were up early to leave Bangkok for Chiangmai.  Train #9 was late arriving so it was going to be later getting in to Chiangmai but we didn't realize just how late it would be. Clickity clack down the track seeing interesting sights through Bangkok.  Outside the city is very lush and green, seeing fields of rice, corn, sugarcane, sunflower and vegetable fields.  A lot of agriculture in this area,  seems like miles and miles of rice fields.  Les told us that Thailand is the world's largest exporter of rice but not the largest producer of rice.  Les works for the Livesock Feed Commodities here in Thailand.  We travelled through some small mountains and jungle area, then it got dark so not sure where we were.  We were very tired of the clickity clack by this time.  Sorry no pictures as we were on the train all day and the windows were dirty.  We finally arrived in Chiangmai about 10:30pm tired and ready for a good nights rest.
