City Tower stands 51 m tall and is an important historical landmark in the Old Town district. The tower was an observation point for the sentries who announced the hours of the day. The guards kept civic order at night and monitored the city for fires. The town hall was where the local political activities took place.

St. James Cathedral or Innsbruck Cathedral was part of the most important medieval Christian pilgrimage to honor James, one of the 12 apostles. The church is one of the most significant religious sites in Austria with its baroque style architecture.
